Position Overview

The Team Lead, Test Software Engineering will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of test software for Redlen’s product suite. This role is crucial in ensuring that test software is effectively deployed and maintained to maximize resource efficiency while meeting customer-defined test requirements. The Team Lead will also be responsible for improving software and establishing robust infrastructure for efficient test data management, including the development of databases and user interfaces for data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of product test software.
• Design and implement standardized, accessible databases for test data storage.
• Develop data warehouses to ensure consistent, accessible product data across all process stages.
• Create tools to visualize and utilize test data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and mentor a team of software developers and data engineers, tracking progress to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate test software development with stakeholders across various departments.
• Provide subject matter expertise, training team members on best practices.
• Lead the recruitment, development, and day-to-day management of the test software engineering team, including setting goals, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and optimizing employee retention.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, systems, and culture across the department and company.
• Maintain and model a positive, professional attitude, fostering healthy working relationships at all organizational levels.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong software development background with extensive experience in Python and C/C++.
• Proficiency in database design and implementation, particularly with SQLServer and PostgreSQL.
• Significant experience in handling, modeling, and visualizing scientific data.
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in a multifaceted role involving the above skills.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 CAD
