Enterprise Imaging is a software-based image management solution used by radiologists, cardiologists, and other medical personnel. It features robust image acquisition, storage, management of imaging and clinical information, visualization, workflow, collaboration, and diagnostic tools.

The Sr Director, Software Development, will be responsible for leading and executing software engineering activities for Enterprise Imaging products and cloud solutions. This role involves leading multiple software development teams, driving process improvements, providing strategic direction, motivating team members, fostering trust, leveraging diverse perspectives, coaching staff, and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a global engineering team building lifesaving imaging software, delivering on a strategic roadmap for hybrid cloud solutions.
  2. Oversee software development initiatives across teams, ensuring timely delivery with high quality, scalability, and security while managing technical debt.
  3. Coach and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of trust, excellence, and engagement.
  4. Encourage innovation by promoting curiosity about customer problems and considering new solutions, including the courage to implement needed changes.
  5. Partner with Product Management to understand market needs and customer issues, aligning development efforts accordingly.
  6. Drive continuous process improvements, adopting new technologies such as AI to automate and enhance execution.
  7. Enhance team alignment through shared principles and common tools and approaches.
  8. Implement industry best practices and standards to ensure security and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  3. 4+ years in a management or director role, leading teams through other leaders.
  4. Experience in medical imaging or regulated medical device software development.
  5. Proven ability to lead teams, inspire others, resolve disputes, and make difficult decisions.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
  7. Experience explaining complex issues to executives, vendors, and customers to build confidence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
  2. Experience transitioning software from on-premises to cloud-based solutions.
  3. Strong professional network and ability to recruit and retain talent.

Canada Residents Only: The salary range is $138,600 to $288,000 per year, based on education, experience, and certifications.
