A leading company in the supply chain sector seeks a Team Lead to manage a group of professionals and oversee lifecycle procurement for the River-Class Destroyer program. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and cost optimization, providing an opportunity for experienced individuals to make a significant impact on team performance and stakeholder relationships.
The Team Lead manages a team of Associate- and Intermediate-level supply chain professionals and is accountable for progressing lifecycle procurement activities for systems/equipment/material for the River-Class Destroyer (RCD) program. Packages managed by Associate- and Intermediate-level specialists are typically low- to medium complexity. The Team Lead may also take ownership of complex or critical packages, or those requiring broader team support (e.g., Steel) or significant strategy development.
The role requires significant stakeholder management and coordination, guided by:
· Ensuring safety in all aspects of work;
· Critical schedule adherence;
· Total-cost optimization; and,
· Maximizing ITB (where feasible).
During the D&M phase, the Team Lead aims to:
· Achieve contract award delivery schedule supporting program commitments;
· Obtain Vendor Furnished Information (VFI) to support design maturity;
· Secure equipment/material by Required In Yard Dates (RIYD) to support shipyard-build needs.
