Job summary

Germain Hôtels in Calgary is seeking an energetic Barista with a passion for latte art and genuine customer service to delight guests. You will prepare a variety of beverages, listen to guest needs, and advise on our best products while assisting with requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor.
• Knowledge of tea, coffee and table service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Know, describe, prepare and serve items on our menu: hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc.
• Ensure that the work environment and the equipment are always clean, disinfected and well organized.
• Ensure that supplies are optimized and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Check the temperature of freezers, refrigerators and other machines to optimize their operation.

Scheduling

Full-time position. The candidate must be available to work weekends.

The salary offer is 17$/hour, plus a 1$/hour team lead premium.

What You'll Do

• Know, describe, prepare and serve the items on our menu: hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor.
• Knowledge of tea, coffee and table service, an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for several hours at a time, lift/carry loads of up to 50lb.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
