Job summary

Alt Hotel Calgary University District in Calgary, AB is seeking a friendly Barista to deliver exceptional coffee and service. You will prepare hot and cold drinks, advise customers on products, and maintain a clean, welcoming workspace. This full-time role requires weekend availability and a positive attitude.

The position offers CAD 17 per hour plus a CAD 1 per hour team lead premium, with opportunity to grow within a hospitality-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor.
• Knowledge of tea, coffee and table service is an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for several hours, lifting up to 50 lb.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Know, describe, prepare and serve the items on our menu: hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc.
• Ensure that the work environment and the equipment are always clean, disinfected and well organized.
• Ensure that supplies are optimized and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Check the temperature of freezers, refrigerators and other machines to optimize their operation.

This dedicated professional prepares a variety of beverages for our guests, listening carefully to their needs, advising them on our best products and assisting them with their requests.

Scheduling : Full-time position. The candidate must be available to work weekends.

The salary offer is 17$/hour, plus a 1$/hour team lead premium.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
