Job summary

Germain Hotels group in Calgary is seeking an energetic Barista with a passion for customer service to craft beverages and guide guests through our menu.

You will prepare hot and cold drinks, maintain a clean work area, and support the cafe team on weekends; a minimum 6 months in hospitality and a year in supervision preferred.

We offer competitive wages at 17 CAD/hour plus a 1 CAD/hour team lead premium, with full-time schedules and opportunities to enjoy great rates at Germain Hotels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 6 months experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry.
• 1 year of experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Know, describe, prepare and serve the items on our menu: hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc.
• Ensure that the work environment and the equipment are always clean, disinfected and well organized.
• Ensure that supplies are optimized and comply with health and safety requirements.
• Check the temperature of freezers, refrigerators and other machines to optimize their operation.

Are you passionate about latte art? Do you like to please people by making them a coffee that makes them smile? We're looking for an energetic Barista with a genuine love of customer service. This dedicated professional prepares a variety of beverages for our guests, listening carefully to their needs, advising them on our best products and assisting them with their requests.

Scheduling : Full-time position. The candidate must be available to work weekends.

The salary offer is 17$/hour, plus a 1$/hour team lead premium.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Know, describe, prepare and serve the items on our menu: hot and cold drinks, snacks, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Knowledge of tea, coffee and table service, an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for several hours at a type, lift/carry loads of up to 50lb.
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
