Job summary
Modern Campus seeks a Team Lead, Software Development to guide a small Scrum team building and modernizing enterprise SaaS apps. You will stay hands-on while mentoring engineers, steering architecture, and championing agentic development with AI coding agents.
You will work across Product, QA, Architecture, DevOps, and Security to deliver high-quality software, maintain security standards, and promote scalable, reliable solutions.
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of professional software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership or mentoring.
- Strong hands-on software development background.
- Experience with enterprise applications, SaaS, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, SDLC, CI/CD, testing, and production support.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership mindset and continuous learning drive.
- Experience using AI coding agents or agentic development tools and applying them responsibly.
Responsibilities
- Lead a Scrum team of 4–7 engineers, coach for career development, and manage delivery milestones.
- Provide technical direction, design and architecture decisions, and hands-on coding as needed.
- Promote agentic development practices and ensure code quality, testing, and security are maintained.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, DevOps, and Security to deliver reliable software.
- Drive modernization, CI/CD, observability, and reduction of technical debt.
- Communicate decisions, status, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
