Job summary

Citi is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver Agentic AI applications across full‑stack systems. You will define technical direction, lead engineers, and build production‑grade platforms for autonomous, multi‑agent workflows at global scale.

You will oversee frontend React/TypeScript and backend Python/Java services, implement secure architectures, and drive integration with LLM gateways and cloud providers. A hybrid model with strong leadership is offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of delivery and team leadership.
• Frontend expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 for responsive UIs.
• Advanced Python (FastAPI, Flask) and/or Java (Spring Boot) for scalable services.
• Agentic AI and LLM-integrated systems, RAG, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, and CI/CD (Harness/Jenkins/Tekton).
• Security principles: OAuth2, OIDC, TLS, Vault.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase).

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, high‑performance full‑stack applications for Agentic AI workflows.
• Lead hands‑on development across React to Python/Java microservices and APIs.
• Design multi‑agent AI workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and related tools.
• Integrate with Citi's LLM gateway across Azure, Vertex, and others, including billing.
• Set standards, patterns, and best practices for teams and AI integration.
• Model data and integrate relational and vector DBs for stateful AI ops.
• Lead multiple engineering teams, guiding performance reviews and growth.
• Evaluate new AI frameworks to evolve tech stack and competitiveness.
