Qualifications

  • Ability to perform advanced quality checks and ensure compliance with production specifications.
  • Strong documentation skills for tracking workflow, quality, and production metrics.
  • Experience mentoring or training less experienced team members preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team members have the tools they need (gloves, safety glasses).
  • Report health and safety concerns or incidents to the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure employees follow production guidelines and use proper tools.
  • Understand the daily schedule and communicate shifts to the team.
  • Notify forklift driver when bins need to be moved.
  • Report issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Keep the work area neat and organized.
  • Assist in training new hires (job-specific, safety, quality).
  • Complete all assigned duties.
  • Direct manpower and manage resources to prevent waste.
  • Support team members as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of production records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (safety, quality, productivity, cost).
  • Complete inspections as required and produce production reports.

  • Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Job Purpose

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Team Lead will assist the Production Supervisor in ensuring that quality products are sent to customers on time and to enforce all Health and Safety policies that are set out by Select Finishing. They will work alongside other production personnel with day-to-day production and will support in the direction of fellow employees, the preparation of the area for production, and the completion and collection of reports.

Duties
  • Ensure team members have the tools they need ie: gloves, safety glasses etc.
  • Report all health and safety concerns or incidents to the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure that employees follow the production guidelines and work instructions in place, and that proper tools are used to complete the job.
  • Understand daily schedule.

  • Ability to perform advanced quality checks and ensure compliance with production specifications.
  • Skilled in handling complex rework tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Strong documentation skills for tracking workflow, quality, and production metrics.
  • Experience in mentoring or training less experienced team members preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Industrial environment with exposure to paint, solvents, and machinery noise.
  • PPE compliance required (gloves, goggles, steel-toed boots).
