Job summary

Loewen is seeking a capable shift leader to join its premium windows and doors production team. The role centers on running an efficient department, maintaining safety and quality standards, and meeting daily production targets.

Expect to spend most of the day on the shop floor and collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, a passion for learning, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently while supporting

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Work as a member of a team with department leadership to run an effective, efficient department
• Ability to spend 60-70% of workday on the floor
• Oversee production and processes focusing on safety, quality and efficiencies
• Manage daily targets
• Promote and lead in safety, quality, 5S, and Continuous Improvement
• Lead meetings as required
• Assist with problem solving and investigations
• Implement and sustain any new tools
• Support with time and attendance as required
• Act as a key person in the designated work area
• Ensure materials are available for use
• Ensure leadership is aware of all situations regarding planning, quality, personnel, safety, and materials
