SGGG Fund Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Trust Banking Officer in Toronto, Ontario for a full-time, permanent role within the Investor Services department.

The position involves back-office administration, wire payments, EFTs, and reconciling account statements, with hybrid remote work options and a 40-hour work week. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, 1+ year in trust banking or 3 years in wire payments/reconciliation, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, economics or related field.
  • 1+ year as a trust banking officer or 3 years of wire payments processing/reconciliation experience.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (sum columns, basic formulas, sorting).
  • Clear and fluent communication (written, verbal).
  • Proven client relationship skills and attention to detail.

Mansioni

  • Prepare and review daily reconciliations of trust accounts and investigate breaks.
  • Produce and deliver settlement reports for complex clients or manual calculations.
  • Administer and reconcile bank accounts related to settlements.
  • Prepare or review wire/EFT payments and distribution reports.
  • Process transactions and record investment income and disbursements.
  • Issue cheques for invoices and payments.
  • Investigate settlement discrepancies and coordinate resolutions with clients.

Job Summary:

SGGG Fund Services Inc. (SGGG-FSI) is currently seeking to fill a full-time permanent position for the role of Senior Trust Banking Officer. The successful candidate will join SGGG-FSI’s Investor Services department, will be energetic, enthusiastic and reliable, and will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our organization. The role involves providing back-office administration and support to investment fund managers by making wire payments, EFTs, and reconciling account statements.

The successful candidate will have an interest in financial services, strong communication skills experience using Microsoft Excel, and share the values of teamwork and customer service.

Duties:
  • Preparing and reviewingdailyreconciliations of trust accounts, investigating and following up on breaks for complex/higher volume accounts.
  • Producing and delivering Diamond settlement reportsfor complex transactionclients or preparing ‘manual’ calculations when settlement reports are not available.
  • Administering and reconciling bank accounts related to trade settlements.
  • Preparing or reviewing wire/EFT payments for trade settlement, invoice processing, distribution reports, etc.
  • Processing transactions and payments from various client’s bank accounts, receiving and recording investment income and disbursement of investment funds.
  • Preparing or reviewing and issuing cheques for invoice processing, trade processing, and other payments.
  • Proactively investigating settlement discrepancies, suggesting resolutions internally, and communicating to clients for complex/higher volume accounts.
  • Monitoring the Trust Banking inbox and actioning or delegating messages to entry level staff.
  • Saving and providing monthly statements to clients and fund valuators per assigned distribution list.
  • Working within departments/clients of SGGG-FSI to resolve questions about money movements between funds.
  • Quality Controlof bank info to Diamond.
  • Train staff on SGGG FSI Trust Banking operations.
  • Performing any other reasonable duties as requested by leadership/management.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, economics or a related field is required.
  • 1+ year as a trust banking officer - or 3 years of professional experience in wire payments processing/reconciliation in a mutual funds or a similar environment is required.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (example: sum columns, basic formulae, sorting, etc.)
  • Clear and fluent communication skills (written, verbal).
  • Comfortable with intermediate math calculations (example: pro-rating, adding tax, compound interest, etc…)
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Previous completion of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with Fundserv.
  • Willingness to learn and teach others.
  • Hiring contingent on successful completion of a background check
