Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. in Saint John, NB is seeking a Talent and Organizational Development Specialist to design, implement, and continuously improve talent and development programs that advance employee growth and organizational capability.

You will collaborate with leaders and HR to map career pathways, support succession planning, onboarding, and development planning, and analyze data to drive measurable outcomes across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related field.
• Experience supporting talent management programs and partnering with business leaders to deliver workforce and talent initiatives.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent and organizational development programs, processes, and resources.
• Develop and maintain career pathways and talent frameworks to clarify opportunities and skill requirements.
• Support talent management processes including succession planning, talent reviews, onboarding, and development planning.
• Partner with leaders, HR, and stakeholders to identify needs and guide talent initiatives.
• Analyze talent data and program results to identify trends and measure effectiveness, driving improvements.
• Coordinate delivery of development programs and workshops with a positive participant experience.
• Develop communications and resources to build awareness of talent and career development programs.
• Conduct research and contribute to strategic projects to strengthen talent management and organizational effectiveness.
