Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides full-cycle recruiting services to the assigned business unit(s) and is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and delivering diverse candidates for high-volume positions. The successful candidate will connect as a trusted business partner and understand the importance of maintaining credibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the hiring process from start to finish, ensuring approved processes and standards are followed, and embedding Ainsworth values and culture into each step.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings with key business partners to understand current and upcoming requirements and develop effective recruitment plans.
  • Recruit passive candidates by profiling individuals, gauging chemistry, and understanding their motivations.
  • Proactively research, source, screen, and maintain a diverse pipeline for current and future roles across all business areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring business knowledge and satisfaction.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with active candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
  • Coordinate next-stage interviews with the Talent/HR team.
  • Network through industry events, meet-ups, trade groups, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Experience with online job boards like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jobillico is an asset.
  • Participate in intake meetings with hiring managers.
  • Support additional recruitment initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience with Government grants and programs (must have).
  • Social media experience (must have).
  • French language skills are an asset.
  • Ability to drive the recruiting process and manage talent pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Multitasking skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ATS, and HRIS systems.
