The Final Call

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing high-priority, escalated collection accounts, ensuring outstanding balances are resolved before accounts are transferred to third-party collections or legal action. This role requires strong negotiation skills, professionalism, and persistence to secure payments while maintaining positive customer relationships.

This position is a 1-year maternity leave coverage contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage accounts exceeding 90 days delinquent and determine the best collection approach.
  2. Negotiate settlements with customers, ensuring fair and feasible repayment solutions.
  3. Arrange structured payment plans based on financial evaluation and customer circumstances.
  4. Communicate effectively with customer management teams to secure payment commitments.
  5. Collaborate with regional teams to align collection efforts with company policies.
  6. Track and document all interactions for reporting and compliance purposes.
  7. Escalate unresolved cases for legal or third-party collection action when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable.
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  3. Ability to handle difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
