Job description

Punt is hyper-scaling into new verticals, launching innovative products, and building our flagship superapp—and you’ll be right at the center of the action. We’re looking for a proactive builder who loves working in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and making sense out of ambiguity. If you enjoy starting new projects, thrive on ownership, and get excited about helping teams operate better and creating exceptional candidate and employee experiences, this role is for you.

Role Overview

We are hyper-scaling our platform operations, expanding into new strategic verticals, and building out high-impact business units. To support this rapid growth, we are looking for an intermediate level Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-cycle recruitment across our Marketing, Commercial, Customer Experience (CX), Fraud & Risk, Growth, and Analytics organizations.

In this role, you will act as a strategic talent partner to department heads and hiring managers, designing candidate pipelines, executing multi-channel outbound sourcing, and driving structured selection processes. You will recruit across a diverse portfolio of roles—ranging from specialized Marketing, Commercial Analysts and Growth Managers to Fraud Operations Leads and high-volume Customer Experience teams.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Candidate Management & Process Execution
  • Manage the complete recruiting lifecycle from initial intake strategy sessions through offer negotiation and pre-onboarding alignment.
  • Conduct thorough initial interviews to evaluate candidate competencies, domain fluency, compensation expectations, and cultural alignment.
  • Deliver a transparent, highly responsive candidate experience that keeps talent engaged throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build direct candidate pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, direct networking, developer and functional communities, and competitive market mapping.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders (including the VP of Insights, VP of Payments & Fraud, and Head of Growth) to refine job specifications, set compensation benchmarks, and calibrate scorecards.
  • Maintain clean ATS data and pipeline tracking to report key metrics such as time-to-fill, pass-through rates, and offer acceptance rates.
Talent Operations and Metrics
  • Own recruiting operations for your client group, including ATS hygiene; maintain clean data, structured candidate notes, and automated pipeline tracking.
  • Track and report on recruiting funnel analytics (e.g., pipeline pass-through rates, time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, channel efficiency) to optimize search strategies.
  • Contribute to employer branding, candidate experience touchpoints, and talent playbooks
  • Plan and organize recruiting events and meetups to expand network reach and brand visibility.
  • Participate in developing talent nurturing initiatives, including co-op programs, internal recruitment paths, and employee referral processes.
What You Bring
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally supporting fast-paced technology, fintech, e-commerce, or iGaming environments.
  • Domain Comprehension: Practical familiarity with functional disciplines across Commercial Analytics, Performance Marketing, Fraud/Risk Operations, and Customer Support scaling.
  • Proactive Sourcing Capability: Proven track record of unearthing passive candidates through Boolean search, targeted outreach campaigns, and network referrals rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.
  • Structured Assessment: Experience implementing objective, competency-based interview processes, calibrated scorecards, and structured post-interview debriefs.
  • Modern Tooling & ATS Mastery: Hands-on experience with modern recruiting tech stacks, enterprise ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and workflow automation.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to influence and advise hiring managers.
  • Location & Authorization: Based in Vancouver, BC for a hybrid office arrangement, with legal entitlement to work in Canada.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Prior experience managing both high-touch strategic searches and high-volume operational hiring ramps.
  • Established personal network within the Canadian technology or startup ecosystems.
  • Exposure to employee referral program management or talent branding campaigns.
  • Competitive Package: Competitive CAD base salary paired with performance bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Extended health, vision, and dental coverage, plus mental health support resources.
  • Professional Growth: Dedicated annual learning and development stipends to advance your recruitment and HR skillsets.
  • Balanced Hybrid Model: Flexible arrangement featuring 3 days in our Vancouver office for team collaboration and 2 focus days working from home.
What Makes This Job Great
  • High-Impact Growth: Accelerate your career in a hyper-scaling environment with massive scope and autonomy.
  • Competitive Package: Competitive CAD base salary range and performance bonus
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Extended health, vision, and dental coverage, mental health support, and generous learning and development stipends.
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Balanced hybrid setup based out of our Vancouver, BC office, offering deep collaboration alongside dedicated focus time.
