Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Talent Partner based in Canada.

As a Senior Talent Partner, you will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment strategies, supporting the growth of a fast-moving fintech organization. You will work closely with hiring managers and senior leadership to attract, engage, and secure exceptional talent across technical and business functions. Through proactive sourcing, market intelligence, and structured hiring practices, you will help build high-performing teams. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape and scale recruitment processes. You will also contribute to employer branding, recruiting analytics, and the responsible adoption of AI-driven hiring tools. If you enjoy building relationships, influencing strategic decisions, and delivering impactful hiring outcomes, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a growing technology environment.

Accountabilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: Lead end-to-end hiring processes across engineering, product, design, go-to-market, and other business functions, from initial role definition through candidate selection and offer closure.
  • Partner with leadership: Collaborate with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to define role requirements, establish hiring priorities, develop interview strategies, and align expectations with business objectives.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines: Identify and engage high-quality passive candidates through direct sourcing, market research, referrals, professional communities, employer branding, and other relevant channels.
  • Provide market insights: Deliver market mapping, compensation benchmarks, talent availability assessments, and realistic hiring timelines while advising stakeholders on recruitment challenges and potential trade-offs.
  • Drive structured hiring processes: Develop compelling job descriptions, coordinate interview plans and scheduling, maintain accurate applicant tracking records in Greenhouse, prepare scorecards, and facilitate effective interview debriefs.
  • Monitor recruitment performance: Track pipeline health, conversion rates, candidate experience, hiring manager responsiveness, decision-making speed, and potential offer or closing risks.
  • Improve recruitment operations: Provide regular progress updates, identify process bottlenecks, and continuously enhance recruiting tools, workflows, and playbooks.
  • Leverage technology and AI: Explore responsible automation and AI-powered recruitment solutions while maintaining appropriate human oversight throughout the hiring process.
  • Strengthen employer branding: Contribute to initiatives that improve talent attraction, candidate engagement, and the organization’s reputation as an employer.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: At least 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including meaningful in-house recruiting experience within a high-growth startup or technology environment.
  • Recruitment expertise: Proven success building proactive talent pipelines, sourcing passive candidates, and closing challenging positions across multiple business functions.
  • Strategic partnership: Demonstrated ability to advise hiring managers and senior leaders on role definition, seniority levels, compensation expectations, market conditions, and recruitment strategies, including the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Technical understanding: Sufficient technical fluency to understand engineering, product, data, and security requirements and translate them into effective sourcing and candidate assessment strategies.
  • Recruitment operations: Experience managing multiple concurrent searches, maintaining applicant tracking systems, and ensuring accurate recruitment data and reporting.
  • Assessment capabilities: Strong understanding of structured interviewing, candidate evaluation, interview scorecards, and effective hiring processes.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills: Strong prioritization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing deadlines independently.
  • Adaptability: A proactive, resourceful mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  • Mission alignment: Genuine interest in Bitcoin, financial innovation, and the possibilities of non-sovereign money.
  • Additional assets: Experience recruiting for Canadian technology startups, fintech companies, or regulated organizations; experience with senior leadership and hard-to-fill searches; familiarity with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pin, or similar sourcing platforms; experience developing employer branding, recruitment analytics, automation, or AI-supported hiring practices.
  • Languages: Professional fluency in English is required. Bilingual English and French proficiency is considered an advantage.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from CAD 120,000 to CAD 155,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Equity ownership: Employee stock options as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Performance development: Annual salary assessments and opportunities for performance-based increases.
  • Health and wellness: Health and dental insurance coverage, including health and wellness spending accounts.
  • Remote flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in Canada, with optional access to office spaces in Montreal and Toronto.
  • Professional development: CAD 2,000 annual learning budget for courses, certifications, and professional training.
  • Paid time off: 20 vacation days annually, with an additional CAD 1,000 bonus when all annual vacation days are used.
  • Parental support: Parental leave top-up providing up to 100% of salary for 18 weeks.
  • Team connection: Quarterly team-specific or company-wide offsites to encourage collaboration and strengthen relationships.
  • Career growth: Opportunities to develop professionally, take on meaningful responsibilities, and contribute ideas in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  • Meaningful impact: The opportunity to contribute to the evolution of financial services and help expand access to Bitcoin and innovative financial products across Canada.
