IMT Precision is seeking a proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruitment across skilled trades, engineering, and leadership roles within a manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in talent acquisition, strong sourcing and interview skills, and experience with ATS/HRIS systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience.
  • Experience recruiting skilled trades, engineering, and high-volume production roles.
  • Experience using ATS/HRIS and LinkedIn Recruiter; ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • Strong interviewing, sourcing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive candidate information.

Salary:$59,500 - $83,300

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading talent acquisition initiatives that support IMT Precision's current and future workforce needs. This role oversees full-cycle recruitment, candidate assessment strategy, talent pipeline development, employer branding, and community engagement activities. Working closely with hiring leaders, educational institutions, and community partners, the successful candidate will identify, attract, assess, and select top talent while providing workforce insights that support organizational growth and long-term workforce capability planning.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive candidate information
Education & Experience
  • Human Resources Certificate, Diploma, or related post-secondary education required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting skilled trades, technical, engineering, professional, and high-volume production positions.
  • Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, sourcing, networking, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience developing selection tools, assessment methodologies, and structured interview processes.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and LinkedIn Recruiter; ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Selection

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for skilled trades, production, engineering, technical, professional, and leadership positions.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Create compelling job postings that reflect IMT Precision's culture, values, and employment brand.
  • Conduct candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessments, reference checks, and offer coordination.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve candidate assessment tools, interview guides, skills evaluations, and selection methodologies to support objective, consistent, and effective hiring decisions.
  • Partner with hiring managers and subject matter experts to define role requirements, evaluate talent, and ensure successful hiring outcomes.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and recommend process improvements that enhance hiring effectiveness, candidate quality, and time-to-fill performance.

Talent Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain short- and long- talent pipelines to support workforce growth and succession needs.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, universities, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, employment agencies, and workforce development organizations.
  • Proactively engage passive candidates through networking, industry events, social media, and recruitment platforms.
  • Identify emerging labour market trends, skills shortages, and talent opportunities to support workforce planning initiatives.

Employer Brand & Community Engagement

  • Promote IMT Precision as an employer of choice through recruitment marketing, career fairs, educational partnerships, industry events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Represent IMT Precision as a brand ambassador within the community and manufacturing sector.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and workforce development partners.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen organizational visibility, reputation, and talent attraction efforts.
  • Ensure candidates experience a professional, inclusive, and engaging recruitment journey that reflects IMT Precision's values.

Workforce Planning & Development Support

  • Provide labour market intelligence, talent insights, recruitment analytics, and hiring trend analysis to support workforce planning and business growth.
  • Identify workforce capability gaps and emerging skill requirements to support future talent strategies.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and Training Specialists to support the development of training effectiveness measures, evaluation frameworks, and workforce capability reporting.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role within a manufacturing facility.
  • Frequent collaboration with cross-functional departments.
  • Occasional travel to job fairs, community recruitment events, or educational institutions may be required.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required during high-volume recruitment periods.
