Job summary

IMT Precision is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Canada to reinforce our quality assurance efforts on the production floor. You will help disposition nonconforming material, support operator inspections, and maintain accurate logs to support rapid root-cause investigations.

Working in a three-shift rotation, you will collaborate with operators, supervisors and engineers to drive corrective actions and ensure safe, timely restart of production.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or CQE/QCA certification or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work a three-shift rotation and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with quality systems, audits, and nonconformance control.

Responsibilities

  • Support disposition of suspect and nonconforming material and document quality records.
  • Assist with inspection activities and drive corrective actions on nonconformances.
  • Coordinate with Operators, Supervisors and Engineers to restart production safely.

Salary: $54,500 - $75,300 Annually

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician provides quality assurance support for the disposition of suspect and nonconforming material, inspection activities performed by operators, and gauging processes. The role ensures accurate maintenance of quality records and inspection logs and supports Engineering and Quality in immediate response to product failures or process nonconformances. Working on a three-shift rotation, the QC Technician interacts with Operators, Production Supervisors, and Engineers and plays a key role in driving corrective actions to ensure safe and timely restart of production.

About You
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to quality issues on the production floor.
  • Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Enforce quality procedures and stop production when required.
  • Analyze nonconformities and support root cause and corrective action efforts.
  • Manage priorities across a rotating shift environment.
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education or Quality Assurance Certification (CQE/QCA) or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of related quality inspection experience.
  • Ability to work on a three-shift rotation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge
  • Manufacturing processes and production quality control systems.
  • Quality system requirements, audit processes, and nonconformance control.
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Gauge selection, functionality, and inspection equipment usage.
  • Product, process, and system audit methodologies.
  • Corrective action and containment processes.
Skills
  • Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Inspection, auditing, and problem documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline management.
