Job summary

Bilingual Talent Acquisition Partner

Full-time

Atlantic Canada / Quebec

The Talent Acquisition Partner will be responsible for attracting and successfully placing top talent within their assigned region across multiple divisions. This includes partnering with business leaders, leading recruitment update calls, recommending solutions to recruitment challenges, reporting on active and closed positions, and building relationships with external partners such as schools and community groups.

How You’ll Help

  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Directors to execute the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
  • Lead regional recruitment calls to review data, forecast roles, and identify opportunities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each position through intake meetings with hiring managers to grasp business needs.
  • Conduct phone interviews utilizing active listening skills.
  • Advise managers during the interview and selection process.
  • Post job ads on internal and external sites.
  • Utilize resources to headhunt and engage passive candidates.
  • Prepare and present candidate profiles for top candidates.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for recruitment inquiries and as a Brand Ambassador for Day & Ross.
  • Build a strong candidate pipeline by collaborating with the COE team and participating in career projects such as job fairs, talent programs, school presentations, social media activities, and networking events.
  • Identify and develop community partnerships.
  • Address recruitment challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Promote talent brand awareness to attract top talent, supporting the development of strategies for current and future hiring needs.
  • Support other Talent Acquisition projects as required.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Post-secondary education preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment.
  • Transportation industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of different talent markets and ability to provide insights.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and web-based programs.
  • Resourcefulness in finding candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Fluent in English and French; other languages are an asset.
  • Up to 25% travel within North America may be required.
