Job summary

Avana in Canada is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist who will lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding across the organization, partnering with hiring managers to attract and hire top talent and build strong candidate pipelines. This on-site role focuses on delivering an exceptional recruitment experience and coordinating onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or full-cycle recruitment.
• Experience recruiting for a variety of positions and partnering with hiring managers throughout the process.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
• Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and equitable hiring practices.
• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment across the organization.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Source, screen, and identify high-quality candidates through multiple channels.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
• Deliver an exceptional recruitment experience through proactive communication and partnerships with candidates and managers.
• Conduct interviews, complete reference checks, prepare employment offers, and coordinate pre-employment activities.
• Promote equitable and consistent hiring practices throughout the process.
• Coordinate onboarding activities to welcome and set up new employees for success.
• Prepare onboarding documentation and coordinate orientation, benefits enrollment, and probation processes.
• Partner with managers to support a successful transition into the organization.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions and postings.
• Maintain recruitment records, reporting, and applicant tracking.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes to support Avana's employer brand.
