Job description

CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full-service provider with expertise in E&I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement.

We are looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Advisor based out of our Calgary Corporate Office. The Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a key role in managing end-to-end, high-volume recruitment company wide focusing on field positions. This role works closely with Hiring Managers and the broader Talent Acquisition team to develop sourcing strategies, streamline hiring processes, and attract top-tier candidates that align with CDN's growth and workforce needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, facilitate, and complete high volume full-cycle recruitment for Field roles within CDN, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, candidate interviews, background checks, preparing offer packages, negotiating offer details, and preparing onboarding employment packages.
  • As a trusted advisor, provide support and guidance to our leaders through the hiring process.
  • Proactively source active and passive candidates’ using various channels and tools such as social media, career fairs, job boards and employee referrals.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business units’ capabilities, market challenges, and key skills to identify and create proactive recruitment strategies.
  • Champion our company and corporate brand to attract highly qualified candidates.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to improve talent acquisition services including pre-employment processes and onboarding.
  • Track, analyze and report on key recruitment metrics.
  • Provide onboarding and orientation presentations for new employees.
  • Develop relationships with external stakeholders ie. trade schools to enable the recruitment of specialized trades and technical talent.
  • Contribute to the success of the People and Culture department by leading and/or participating in team projects.
  • Attend and participate in career events across Canada.
  • All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with 5 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment and/or related Human Resources experience.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of recruitment and work well under pressure.
  • A highly consultative approach with the ability to actively engage and inform a broad range of stakeholders, (hiring managers, candidates, and external consultants) on the talent acquisition process.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative and efficient recruitment solutions to support a result-oriented business.
  • Team player who contributes to a culture of professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to travel between branches and attend career fairs when required.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to take on more responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong applicant tracking system experience with sourcing, tracking, and managing candidates.
