Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a versatile recruitment professional to join our North America team in Oakville, Ontario. You will partner with managers to shape job descriptions and campaigns, source through advanced methods, and guide candidates through screening and interviews with a focus on timely, high-quality hires.

Ideal candidates bring a relevant degree and at least two years in talent acquisition, with strong communication, negotiation, and DEI commitments.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a relevant field is required, underscoring a solid foundation in organizational dynamics and people management.
  • Minimum of two years' specialized experience in talent acquisition, ideally within the construction or engineering industries, ensuring familiarity with sector-specific nuances and candidate expectations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to build trust, influence stakeholders, and foster collaborative partnerships across diverse teams.
  • Proven expertise in negotiating employment offers and aligning recruitment strategies with broader business objectives enhances your effectiveness in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and LinkedIn Recruiter, along with adaptability to evolving recruitment technologies and methodologies, is essential.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, with the ability to implement inclusive hiring practices that enrich team composition.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced sourcing methods, including LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, specialized job boards, employee referrals, and strategic market mapping, to identify high-impact talent.
  • Conduct thorough resume assessments and initial interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with role requirements.
  • Collaborate efficiently with hiring managers to refine job descriptions and develop targeted recruitment campaigns that attract diverse candidate pools.
  • Oversee candidate progression through screening, interviewing, and selection stages, ensuring a smooth and timely hiring process.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining clear, respectful communication, providing feedback, and responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Maintain meticulous records and generate recruitment metrics through the ATS to support data-driven decision-making and continuous process enhancements.

Base Compensation

$90 000 - $110 000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
