Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Health Centre Security Guard in Winkler, MB. In this full-time role, you will provide customer-focused security, control access, verify IDs, and respond to alarms while maintaining order. You’ll work 14-on/14-off, 12-hour shifts, with uniform provided and GardaWorld Academy education opportunities.

Qualifications

• MB Security Guard licence or be eligible to obtain one in Canada.
• Experience in security, protective services or high-volume customer service.
• Ability to perform access control and verify IDs.
• Strong situational awareness and rapid alarm/code response.
• Solid incident reporting and log/documentation skills.
• Capability to patrol on foot or by vehicle and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Manage access control and identity verification for secure zones.
• Respond to alarms, site codes and incidents with appropriate action.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and enforce rules and bylaws.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
• Communicate clearly via radio and in person with clients and team.
• Document incidents with accurate reports and logs.
• Perform proactive patrols and lock/unlock routines for safety.

Responsibilities for Health Centre Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas (interior/exterior) to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Manage access control and identity verification for secure zones.
• Respond promptly to alarms, site codes, and incidents; take appropriate action to stabilize situations.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and maintain order while upholding property rules and by-laws.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency responders during serious incidents.
• Communicate clearly via radio and in person with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Document incidents, observations, and actions taken through accurate reports and logs.
• Perform proactive patrols and lock/unlock routines to maintain safety and security

Qualifications for Health Centre Security Guard

• MB Security Guard licence (or eligible) and legal right to work in Canada.
• Security/protective services or high-volume customer service in an asset
• Access control & ID verification; clear radio communication.
• Strong situational awareness; rapid response to alarms/codes; confident de-escalation.
• Solid report writing (incident/DAR/maintenance); basic alarm/access-control proficiency.
• Fit for patrols (standing/walking/stairs); professional with clients and emergency services.
