Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification is an asset or willing to obtain.
• Use of Force training is an asset or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Respond to codes.
• Check proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.

As a Healthcare Facilities Security Guard in a Hospital setting, physical ability and ability to De- escalate situation is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling and de-escalate situations in a Hospital environment.
