Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Healthcare Facility Security Guard in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role focuses on patrolling hospital environments, rapid threat response, and de-escalation to maintain safety during shifts. Training is supported by GardaWorld Academy.

The position offers weekend night shifts (Saturday and Sunday 2000-0800) with opportunities for career growth and a uniforms-provided role in a global security company. Must hold Manitoba license and eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset or willing to obtain.
• Use of Force is an asset or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in the security industry (asset).
• Tactical experience (Asset).
• Customer service oriented.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Respond to code alerts and other emergencies.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.

As a Healthcare Facility Security Guard in a Hospital setting , physical ability and ability to De- escalade situation is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling and de-escalate situations in a Hospital environment.
