The Systems Engineering, Specialist will support workstreams that assess the current organizational state, drive continuous improvement, and enhance effectiveness in an agile environment, contributing to strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring excellent customer experience and service availability aligned with SLAs and SLOs.
• Designing, building, configuring, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure in a hybrid multi-cloud environment (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Utilizing automation tools to manage environments, systems, and workloads.
• Monitoring system health, performance, and capacity, managing alerts with observability tools.
• Creating and executing capacity plans to maintain optimal service performance.
• Keeping systems and software current and compliant with industry standards, including vulnerability and patch management.
• Managing incidents from resolution to retrospective, including root cause analysis.
• Maintaining technical documentation and operating manuals.
• Ensuring infrastructure integrity supporting DR, BCP, and security by design.
• Coordinating with vendors and communicating with stakeholders.
• Developing and maintaining departmental ISO programs, policies, and procedures.
• Supporting audits and security assessments, and facilitating vulnerability remediation.
• Implementing best practices for excellent customer experience.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or 3+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
• Ability to work in change-controlled, process-driven environments.
• 3+ years managing Azure & AWS workloads.
• Experience managing VMware components and knowledge of RedHat Linux and Windows Servers.
• Experience supporting ISO27001 ISMS practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure hardware like Dell, HP, Pure Storage.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, MS SQL, and backup technologies.
• Knowledge of Azure services, Atlassian tools, and security standards.
• Curiosity and logical approach to solving technical challenges.
• ITIL and project management knowledge is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in Canada for Interac.
