Job description

Are you a hands-on Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist with a passion for smooth device deployments and system stability? Do you enjoy working on hardware rollouts and enhancing endpoint management solutions? Our client is looking for a dedicated professional who can take initiative and contribute to essential IT operations in a fast-paced environment.

Role Details

This is a 3-month contract role offering a hybrid work model based in Toronto. You will be part of a focused team working on device upgrades and the rollout of modern management tools, playing a key role in two impactful technology projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide systems administration and daily operations support including user access, profiles, backups, and recoveries
  2. Install, patch, and upgrade Windows 10/11 operating systems on end-user laptops
  3. Deploy applications such as antivirus software and Adobe tools across multiple devices
  4. Assist with the transition from Ivanti to Microsoft Intune for device management
  5. Collaborate with the team on hardware refresh projects and MS 365 Defender deployments
  6. Monitor workload trends and optimize resource utilization
  7. Support help desk operations and resolve end-user technical issues
  8. Manage assets using inventory tracking tools like Ivanti or Microsoft’s systems
Qualifications
  1. Strong experience administering Windows 10 and 11 systems, including patching and upgrades
  2. Hands-on experience with MS 365 Intune and Defender for device deployment
  3. Solid understanding of Dell and HP hardware platforms
  4. Proficiency in deploying and configuring end-user applications
  5. Familiarity with IT asset management tools and help desk environments
  6. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  7. Experience with backup and recovery processes and user account setups
  8. Awareness of AODA compliance standards is an asset
Nice to Have
  1. Experience with distributed or networked systems and infrastructure
  2. Familiarity with scripting or basic programming languages for automation tasks
  3. Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies in endpoint management and system security
