Position Overview

Are you excited about developing solutions that make a real difference? Do you have a passion for automation and cloud transformation? We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Cloud Operations Administrator & Automation Specialist to join our team dedicated to accelerating cloud adoption at Intelex.

As part of our team, you'll contribute to a community-driven project aimed at removing roadblocks and empowering teams—developing solutions to accelerate cloud implementations, simplify security compliance, promote best practices, and scale automation.

This is a remote role based in Toronto

Responsibilities and Deliverables

• 5+ years of experience managing high-availability web systems (Windows and Linux) as a System Administrator Engineer.
• Identify repetitive tasks and automate them using industry-standard tools and scripting languages.
• Follow ITIL best practices and standards.
• Maintain data backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Have a solid understanding of networking concepts like VNET, Subnet, Private Link, VNET Peering.
• Work with Azure services including Networking, certificates, OAuth, AzureAD, ASE, ASP, AKS, Azure Apps, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Firewall, API Management, SQL Server, and Azure Databases.
• Use industry tools like DataDog, New Relic, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights to ensure excellent customer service.
• Implement routine service requests and develop automated workflows where possible.
• Supervise trends in Windows, Network, and Infrastructure to prepare for rapid growth.
• Develop scripts for configuration, deployment, and operational efficiency (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Octopus, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Create infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts with Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Promote and implement automation best practices across infrastructure and cloud services.
• Analyze logs from various sources using Event Viewer and log management tools.
• Ensure security practices like SSL, Certificates, Key Vault, and Secret management.
• AWS experience is a plus.
• Stay updated on cloud and automation technologies, focusing on Azure and AWS.
