Job description

Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. provides turnkey submetering and utility expense management services to property managers, building owners and developers across Canada. Wyse is unique in its ability to provide energy consumption transparency and accountability to its customers.

Reporting into the CIO, the System & Network Support Analyst role will serve as an integral member of the Wyse IT team. The main function of the role is to ensure high availability / uptime of all Wyse IT Systems as well as On time / On scope / On Budget project at Wyse. Utilizing attention to detail, technical skills and professionalism, throughout all departments and assisting when required in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow organizational standards to sustain the quality of services.
  • Make improvement suggestions and put them into action.
  • Follow current procedures and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Implement new procedures to improve the security system for the organization.
  • Keep up with the most recent security developments and technology.
  • Watch the server traffic and tickets for the company.
  • Responsible for all Wyse Meter Solutions Servers / Network Appliances including Physical and Cloud Servers, Firewalls, L2/L3 Switches, Access Points and IoT devices.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, creation, and remediation of Wyse Meter Solutions’ backup infrastructure.
  • Frontline support and monitoring of Wyse Meter Solutions’ Cyber Security footprint including Endpoint protection software, vulnerability / pen testing, hardware/software patching, network traffic sleuthing, and phishing campaigns.
  • Project work related to new technologies, upgrades, and new deployments.
  • Other duties or tasks from time to time as directed by the Manager.
  • Tier 1 Hardware / Software and User Support via phone, helpdesk tickets, email, and remote connection.
  • Work with Vendors on Tier 1 Hardware / Software support.
  • User Management [Onboard / offboard].
  • New Hardware ordering, setup and deployment.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Hardware / software support and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced Microsoft knowledge.
  • Working experience with O365, Windows Server 2012+ and VMWare.
  • Expert knowledge of networking topologies/protocols, subnets, VLANS, QoS, OSI Model, multi-routed VPNs, and DNS.
  • Knowledge of industry and network protocols and their purpose.
  • Intermediate / Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite and Azure Active Directory.
  • University/College education training in Systems and Infrastructure or equivalent experience.
  • Strong initiative and innovation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • An appetite to fully understand new technology and problems with limited previous experience.
  • Self-starting and self-motivating.
