Job summary

Brightshores in Owen Sound is seeking a Switchboard Operator to handle incoming calls, direct inquiries, and coordinate paging and visitor information.

This part-time role requires flexibility to work all shifts, 24/7, and to respond to alarms and contingency codes while performing clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and relevant business office experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming calls to Brightshores hospitals.
• Perform all paging services (overhead and Spok Messenger); manage parking lot gates.
• Provide visitor information and respond to contingency codes and alarms.
• Monitor alarms and carry out various clerical duties as assigned.
• This position is required to work all shifts 24/7.

STATUS: PART-TIMEREASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT

WAGE RATE: $25.900 - $27.915

Reporting to the Manager, Registration and Switchboard, the Switchboard Operator is responsible for answering and directing incoming telephone calls to the Brightshores hospitals. Duties include but are not limited to: all paging services (overhead and Spok Messenger); parking lot(s) entry and exit gates; visitor information. This position also responds to contingency codes and alarms, monitors alarms, and various clerical duties as assigned. This position is required to work all shifts 24/7.
