Job summary

Vineland Research and Innovation Centre is seeking an Analyst, Sustainability Assessment – Research and Development to support data collection, analysis, and environmental impact assessments related to greenhouse gas emissions and life-cycle analyses. The role involves compiling data, performing statistical analysis, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc or MSc with 2-3 years in environmental sustainability, and have experience with GHG estimation, LCA, and CBA.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc with 2-3 years relevant experience in environmental sustainability, agricultural economics, or related field.
• Experience with greenhouse gas estimation, carbon footprint reduction techniques, or related tools.
• Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies and environmental CBA.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection, analysis and creation of environmental impact assessments for internal and external projects.
• Compile relevant data from primary and secondary sources.
• Perform statistical analysis, interpretation and report writing of environmental impact assessments.
• Interpret results regarding business sustainability relevance and propose actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Assist with corporate accounting and reporting of ESG quantitative metrics.
