Qualifications

• 1-3 years of leadership experience as a Party Chief.
• Experience with Control and Engineering Surveys is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Travel across Ontario regularly and manage a field crew of 1-2 members.
• Operate survey instruments and support the drafting/mapping division.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and company safety and quality programs.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Travel across Ontario regularly
• Managing a field crew of 1-2 members
• Operating Robotic Total Stations, GNSS survey instruments, digital levels, and 3D laser scanners
• Supporting our drafting/mapping division
• Managing projects and implementing corrective actions
• Providing progress reports to the Field Supervisor
• Updating management and clients on project status
• Managing field data, notes, and records
• Computing field data
• Providing technical support to clients
• Maintaining equipment and vehicles
• Assisting in work proposal preparations
• Mentoring and training staff
• Ensuring compliance with OHSA and company safety and quality programs

Candidate Requirements

• University degree or college diploma in Geomatics, Engineering Technology, or related field
• 1-3 years of leadership experience as a Party Chief
• Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, laser scanners, and digital levels
• Experience with Control and Engineering Surveys is an asset
• Proficiency with survey software and general computer applications
• Understanding of legal surveying standards and practices
• Strong commitment to quality and safety standards
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel regularly
