Supervisor, Municipal Claims - Full Time (Remote, Anywhere in Canada)

Company Overview

ClaimsPro LP - International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent Third-Party claims Administrator providing services for Lloyd’s of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, and organizations with high deductibles or self-insured retention. Operating across Canada from Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, IPG employs specialized senior and desktop examiners, licensed nationwide. Visit internationalprogramsgroup.com.

While this role is primarily remote, attendance at the office may be required for training, client, or team meetings with advance notice.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead and champion change initiatives.
  2. Mentor, inspire, and challenge examiners to achieve their potential and foster a strong team environment.
  3. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to ensure service levels are met.
  4. Assist the Manager of the Public Sector Group as needed.
  5. Act as an examiner for Lloyds accounts, providing prompt and fair claims service.
  6. Manage governmental liability claims and examine complex liability cases.
  7. Direct field adjusters during investigations.
  8. Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives.
  9. Handle claims payments and settlements through trust accounts.
  10. Coordinate with stakeholders to meet client needs.
Qualifications
  1. College diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  2. CIP designation is an asset.
  3. 7-10 years of casualty claims experience, including professional lines.
  4. Supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset.
  5. Experience with professional liability and complex coverage analysis.
  6. Experience with Lloyd’s claims is a clear advantage.
Required Competencies
  1. Ability to lead adjusters at all levels and work effectively in teams.
  2. Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  3. Positive attitude and customer service focus.
  4. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  5. Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  6. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficient in MS Office and capable of navigating various systems in a paperless environment.
