Job summary

GardaWorld in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard who will monitor security systems, spot threats, and document incidents to keep premises safe. You’ll perform foot patrols, control access, and collaborate with law enforcement as needed.

The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with uniform provided and ongoing GardaWorld Academy training for education costs. The position emphasizes sharp observation, attention to detail, and strong reporting skills, with

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification - Required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escape in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
