Job summary

GardaWorld in Thunder Bay, Ontario is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard for full-time opportunities. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, maintain detailed incident reports, and coordinate with local authorities when needed.

Requirements include being authorized to work in Canada, holding a valid security license and first aid certification, plus strong report writing and communication skills. We offer $20/hr, flexible shifts, GardaWorld Academy training, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license - required.
• First aid certification - required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Security Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of facilities and keep detailed reports of any incidents.
• Adhering to the code of conduct set out by the client and site standing orders as per the site requirements.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to any security incidents, emergencies, or alarms, and coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all security incidents, activities, and personnel movements within the facility, and notifying your supervisor.
• Public Relations: Must have good communication skills with the public, maintaining a professional, friendly and compassionate demeanor
• Training and Development: Coordinate required training for site specific duties needed to complete the job adequately and successfully.
