Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Hamilton, Ontario to monitor security systems, patrol sites and document incidents. You will help spot threats and maintain safety across multiple environments, from security operation centres to parking lots.

We offer weekend/night shifts, a starting hourly wage of $18.73, and opportunities for career growth. GardaWorld Academy will cover continued education costs and a uniform is provided at no extra charge.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalates in environments such as security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
