Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Pictou, Nova Scotia. You will monitor individuals in a high-security setting, conduct regular wellness checks, and document observations per protocol.

Experience in law enforcement or related education is a strong asset. You must maintain composure under pressure, complete accurate reports, and comply with security standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in law enforcement, policing, correction, or care for vulnerable persons is a strong asset.
• Sharp eye for detail, ability to effectively document observations, respect for security protocols, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous surveillance of persons in a controlled environment.
• Perform wellness checks at 15 minute intervals, in accordance with security standards and procedures.
• Identify and report risk situations or medical concerns.
• Respond professionally, calmly, and in compliance during sensitive situations.
• Accurately complete official documentation and observation reports.

• Professionalism, discipline, integrity, and the ability to perform under pressure.
• proficient with Microsoft 365 and computer systems.
