Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Toronto, Ontario. You will monitor multiple security screens, identify threats, and respond to incidents while maintaining accurate incident reports throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of security experience, a valid Ontario security license, and a high school diploma. GardaWorld offers a full-time role with ongoing training and a uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor IDs.
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escape in environments such as security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities For Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications For Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Ontario security license
• WSIB approved first aid certification
• Minimum 1 year of security experience
• Minimum high school diploma
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
