Job summary

GardaWorld in London, Ontario, is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard. You will monitor security systems, observe details on screens, and respond to incidents to keep premises safe.

You will conduct foot patrols, control access, write detailed reports, and collaborate with law enforcement when needed. We offer full-time and part-time roles, provided uniforms, and opportunities for education through GardaWorld Academy.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escal ate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.
