Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a surgical services float, primarily in the operating room and PACU. You will provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting, aligned with CNO standards and unit protocols.

You will maintain competence through ongoing education and participate in quality assurance activities. Onsite ACLS/BLS/PALS training is provided to support clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• RN registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Post-anaesthesia care nursing course required.
• Post-degree operating room course required.
• IV certification required.
• BCLS required and maintained.
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
• Critical care experience within last two years preferred.
• Knowledge of ORNAC/OPANA/NAPAN standards of practice required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in the surgical services unit within nursing standards (CNO).
• Maintain ongoing competence through continuing education and participate in quality assurance programs.
• Participate in hospital-wide activities promoting patient-centered care and safety.
• Onsite training for ACLS/BLS/PALS is offered.
