Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Women and Child - Surgical Unit, Part-Time A. You will deliver quality nursing care in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and newborn nursery settings while maintaining regulatory standards and participating in ongoing professional development.

The role requires current RN credentials in Ontario, 2 years caseroom/post-partum experience, and IV/BCLS compliance. ACLS is preferred; teaching and case-room experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• BScN and current registered in good standing with Ontario College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 2 years of caseroom and post-partum experience required.
• Minimum medical/surgical nursing experience required.
• IV and BCLS certification required and maintained throughout employment.
• Obstetrical experience in labor and delivery unit, newborn nursery experience preferred.
• Case Room Training and recent birthing RN experience within last 12 months.
• Current F.H.S.L., N.R.P., and B.C.L.S maintained throughout employment.
• ACLS preferred.
• Teaching experience an asset.
• Medication administration course completed with recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care within Standards of Nursing Practice (CNO) and unit standards.
• Maintain competence through continuing education and participate in QA activities.
• Participate in hospital-wide programs promoting safe, patient-centered care and quality improvement.
