Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan is seeking a Surface and Safety Trainer for the McIlvenna Bay site, a full-time role on a 14/14 rotation. You will partner with the Health & Safety Team to design and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing engaging materials, delivering sessions, evaluating effectiveness, and ensuring regulatory compliance while promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant mining experience.
• Knowledge of Powered Mobile Equipment and overhead/mobile cranes an asset.
• Certifications such as CSP, CST, CHST considered an asset.
• Ability to deliver engaging and interactive training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop training programs tailored to site safety and operations requirements.
• Instruct engaging sessions for employees, contractors, and stakeholders at various levels.
• Educate on hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe procedures.
• Provide training on safe operation and maintenance of mobile equipment and machines.
• Assess training effectiveness using quizzes, tests, and feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and results.
• Promote safety culture and proactive reporting of safety concerns.
• Attend safety meetings and assist in training compliance monitoring.
• Conduct health and safety orientation for new hires and visitors.
