Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan is seeking a Senior Mine Planner to join the McIlvenna Bay team on a full‑time basis. The role requires overseeing 3–12 month mining schedules and coordinating with the Mine Engineering Team to ensure plans align with budgets and safety standards.

The Senior Mine Planner will lead, mentor, and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations to optimize drill & blast, backfill, ventilation, and ground control while maintaining regulatory compliance and QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in mining engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of underground hard rock mining experience; supervisory experience is an asset.
• Experience with Deswik mining suite is an asset.
• Understanding of underground mining practices, including drill & blast and backfilling.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic mining environment.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3–12-month mining schedules to meet budget targets safely.
• Support the Mine Engineering Team with daily and weekly tasks.
• Create short-term plans for drill & blast, backfill, ventilation, and ground control.
• Prepare drill & blast and development designs to align with schedules.
• Coordinate short-term schedules (7+21) with operations and technical services.
• Develop and align weekly mine plans with the three-month plan.
• Ensure backfill, drilling, and blasting activities follow best practices and safety standards.
• Supervise, train, and mentor engineers and mine technicians.
• Conduct trade-off studies and implement operational improvements.
• Promote safe production through engineering best practices.
• Ensure compliance with mining regulations and company policies.
• Maintain stope reconciliation and support QAQC function.
