Job summary

Discovery Mining Ltd in Timmins, Ontario is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor to maintain and repair surface loaders/haul trucks and related mining equipment.

You will perform preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance, use CMMS daily, promote safety, and contribute to reliability improvements; prior heavy equipment certification and 3+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a Certificate of Qualification in Heavy Equipment.
• Minimum three years’ experience in maintenance of mining equipment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of mining equipment.
• Support preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance processes and improve reliability.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve area activities or equipment.
• Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
