Job summary

Discovery Silver Corp. in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a Mechanic to maintain the site’s mobile and locomotive fleets. The successful applicant will conduct maintenance repairs, preventative inspections, and ensure equipment is functional and safe.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanic in an industrial setting.
• Completion of CAAT and DAT testing in a satisfactory manner.
• Alternative Fuel Technician license considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete general maintenance repairs and service calls on all fuel-powered equipment.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections.
• Identify parts and materials for equipment repair.

Skills

Maintenance and repair of locomotives

Understanding of diesel and gasoline fueled systems

Experience in an industrial setting with automotive and heavy equipment

Education

Certificate of Qualification as Truck and Coach Technician, Automotive Service Technician, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
