Job Description

If you are a technical professional with experience in building automation, controls, or refrigeration systems looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! You will play a critical role in supporting refrigeration and controls systems that power food retail and commercial environments. In this role, you will provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support for customers and internal teams to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of refrigeration and control systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with field technicians, engineers, and customers—helping diagnose issues, develop solutions, and improve system performance. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys guiding others through technical challenges and ensuring reliable system operation, this is the role for you!

AS A SUPPORT CENTER TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams seeking technical assistance related to refrigeration and control systems.

  • Provide remote and on-site support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving compressors, valves, controls, and refrigerant circuits.

  • Collaborate with field technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical challenges efficiently and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and solutions provided.

  • Generate reports on system performance and recommend improvements.

  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and knowledge base materials.

  • Conduct training sessions and develop instructional resources to enhance the skills of technicians and clients.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position follows standard business hours, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
  • 2 years of experience in BAS, BMS, or facility control systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical or control systems.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, technicians, and engineers.

  • Availability to participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
  • Experience with food retail case controllers.

  • Previous field or contractor installation experience.

  • Proficiency in reading and troubleshooting electrical prints and communications systems.

Remote Work Arrangement:

This role is fully remote. As a remote colleague, you may be required to travel to a Copeland site regularly to collaborate with your team or customers as needed. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $62,000-$75,000 annually + an additional stipend when on-call shifts occur, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
