Job summary

AgeCare in Calgary is offering a Supply Chain Management Co-op position for a 24-week, full-time term from October 2026 to January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across sourcing, contracts, purchasing, logistics, and policy development, with exposure to multiple facets of supply chain operations.

The role involves organizing spend data, updating contract inventories, documenting procedures, and identifying process improvements while supporting the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in SCM, Business, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in purchasing/procurement.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work full-time from October 2026 to January 2027 (24-week term).
• Must be able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check or obtain one.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Organize and analyze spend data, providing meaningful insights into category spend by contract, region, and site.

• Contribute to the management of the contract database by updating contract inventories and creating metadata for each contract.

• Assist in documenting and updating supply chain policies and procedures to help standardize practices across the organization.

• Work with the stakeholders to identify process improvements for contract management practices, strengthening communication, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

• Provide general support to the Supply Chain Manager, including troubleshooting and resolving supply chain issues as they arise.

• Ability to work full-time from October 2026 – January 2027 (24-week term).

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

• Genuine interest and passion for purchasing/procurement.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented, highly motivated, with excellent time management skills.

• Team player with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

• Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.
