Director – Supply Chain

Lock Search Group is supporting a national leader in the Food Manufacturing sector to build their leadership team. Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group is retained to support this search for their Director of Supply Chain. Our client seeks a professional with a proven leadership track record in the CPG manufacturing sector, who excels in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the executive team, you will oversee the expansion and development of their operations. The ideal candidate will have high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills to achieve innovative goals. Procurement, Demand Planning, Production, and Operations will report to this role.

Responsibilities:

• Possess business savvy with operational expertise in the CPG sector, preferably food manufacturing
• Build strong relationships and partner with diverse leadership teams; internal stakeholder management is essential
• Manage strategic plans, production objectives, KPIs, budgets, and long-term planning
• Achieve production targets while maintaining fiscal discipline and quality standards
• Lead logistics and operations policies focusing on efficiency, material usage, safety, employee relations, and performance
• Oversee inventory and distribution planning to ensure effective inventory management and logistics cost control
• Review third-party contracts and collaborate on tenders to ensure proper financial controls
• Recruit, train, develop, and motivate team members through regular reviews and training
• Collaborate across teams and business units to meet operational goals

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Operations Management
• MBA is a plus but not required
• 5-7 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations within a quality-focused CPG environment, preferably food
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker with innovative and collaborative mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Proven success in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement strategies
• Strong project management skills, including planning and oversight
• Financial expertise in budgeting, variance analysis, and pricing controls
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams and managers
• Ability to coach, mentor, and maintain accountability
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
