Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is hiring for a seasonal full-time night shift role in Skate Maintenance and Winter Activities Maintenance. You will assign work to staff, train, and help maintain the ice surface and equipment.

The position requires operating rink and winter maintenance gear, diagnosing issues, and participating in staff evaluations. Water sampling and record keeping are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to top of the mountain.
• Must be able to work overnights.
• Knowledge of tractors or snow removal equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to staff and supports in training delivery.
• Completes all tasks required of a Skate Maintenance associate, including plowing, shoveling, maintaining ice surface and surroundings.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Completes tasks for Winter Activities Maintenance, including using rink equipment, flooding skating surface, and snow removal.
• Includes use of various tractor equipment.
• Participates in performance evaluations of frontline staff.
• Assists with record keeping and organization of water taking and water sample taking.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Assigns work to staff and supports in training delivery.
