Blue Mountain Resort Company is seeking a Seasonal Supervisor, Snowmaking and Trail Maintenance, to lead a dedicated team through winter operations and summer projects, ensuring guest safety and trail readiness.
The role requires coordinating ribbons, fences, padding, and drainage; operating snowmobiles; and contributing to SOPs and training. It offers a full-time seasonal schedule Oct–Mar and benefits as part of the Blue Mountain team.
HOURLY RATE $29.92 FULL TIME HOURS CONTRACT- OCTOBER- MARCH
The Supervisor, Snowmaking and Trail Maintenance with the direction of the Manager; Slope Maintenance, will lead a dedicated group of staff on working various schedules 24 hours a day during the winter months. Working alongside other departments, ensuring the resort trails are safe for the guest, with setup of Ribbons, Fences, Padding, Tree Trimming and Drainage. During summer months, the incumbent will execute planned projects (forest management, erosion control, and preventative maintenance) to ensure the hill is ready for winter start up. Schedule and set day-to-day objectives for team focused on operational targets and service standards. Assist the front line staff with setup of ribbons, fences, padding, tree trimming and drainage, with use of a snowmobile. Works with other division Leaders to develop, facilitate and track departmental training programs. In collaboration with Manager of Slope, Terrain & Trails, the supervisor will create and update departmental SOPs (ie. Health & Safety, Equipment Operation etc.). Manage performance of team, including meeting with team to resolve complaints, coaching through performance challenges, and conducting performance reviews. Ensures all equipment is maintained to ensure proper working order; completes necessary equipment logs and reports; assists in investigations when incidents involving equipment occur.
